A Sense of Time
Exploring the Idea of a Sense of Time and Will
It is commonly acknowledged we have the senses of touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight. Many other creatures have a sense of magnetism, electrical charge, echolocation (sound sight), or extended spectrum sight. When you boil them all down, they are measurements of vibrations and charges of molecular particles coming into contact with mouth or nose (taste, smell), vibration and charge of electrons pushing against each other (touch), vibrations of air molecules hitting our inner ear (sound), and vibrations of photons / particles analyzed by the rods and cones in our eyes (sight).
The above senses are all measurements of 3D matter (molecules), or photons of light energy - but they all require the 4th dimension of time to sample the vibrations and analyze the frequencies or charges.
A case could be made that humans also possess and intrinsic conscious sense of time itself - the 4th Dimension - which allows for change and motion of the state of the 3D material universe, our bodies, and our environment. In the Consciocentric paradigm, we actually have awareness of the 5th dimension which is the multiverse, which allows for choice and branching of decisions. From this higher 5D many worlds view (see Hugh Everett's Many World's interpretation of quantum wave collapse) - we can see time as a multiverse canvas of possibilities.
In addition, humans have an intrinsic sense of the passage of time. We can slow down our focus on short time spans, pushing our consciousness into the moment, or focus on wider ranges of times both past and future. We can set our internal biological clocks to remind us of something, or wake up at a certain time, and the human body can have an amazing accuracy of telling time, even when not devoting our core focus of consciousness on it.
