Gambling with Randomness
Exploring the topic of random events and possible consciousness implications
In the Mind Over Matter article, we explored some of the tangible examples of how our consciousness can directly effect the physiology of our bodies, and touched on the topic of quantum wave collapse and the observer effect.
The higher the randomness factor, the more possibility there is for a conscious observer to affect the outcome of quantum wave collapse events. With quantum random number generators, the most random events are generated. There have been several consciousness experiments through the years, using Random Number Generators (RNGs). The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Global Consciousness Project have studied the possibility for consciousness subtly altering the outcomes of supposedly random events. The results have show evidence that consciousness has a very small, but not insignificant effect on Random Number Generation - altering the quantum fields that encompass us and our surrounding and determining wave collapse of individual bits in the RNG system. The effect of a single person may be extremely limited, but its possible that a person with a acutely developed training could be more effective in slightly altering results, or a large group / collective consciousness may produce larger scale results. The Global Consciousness Project is focused on studying large scale, worldwide events, and their effects on RNG systems.
But Don't Play the Slots -
We do NOT recommend gambling in general, and certainly not playing the slots. Slot machines have semi-random results in them, but they are specifically designed to rig the results of winning to favor the casino. Slots are known for having the worst odds of all luck games in casinos. The extra buffer that the slot machine has built in to favor the casino would have to be overcome by immense RNG micro-psychokinesis, to a level at which researchers have not seen.
