God as a Verb
Exploring the Concept of Creation
The Dictionary of ConscioCentrism:
Rather than defining "god" as a noun - a being or deity, we can redefine God as a verb... an action.
God: (verb) The Act of Creation
Why do this, you may ask? The answer is that ConscioCentrism is not mutually exclusive of religions or other philosophies or science. In fact, ConscioCentrism is just another way to frame the existing knowledge that we have written down over thousands of years.
By re-framing the word "god" as the "act of creation", it becomes compatible with both religion and science. The Big Bang was the initial act of creation.... and explosion of matter and time out from a unified singularity.
While taking ancient religious texts literally may seem ridiculous, there are many important lessons and bits of wisdom within religious texts. If you simply replace the concept of "God" as a noun, and re-think it as a verb - literally, "The Act of Creation", then you can re-frame some of the ideas from the Bible, the Torah and others.
One must remember that religious texts were written by imperfect men. While the underlying message and meanings may be profound and possess much knowledge, we just have to realize that men had to convert these ideas/concepts into written communication. In the conversion, metaphors and symbols were created to represent the ideas. Does god need to be a physical/supernatural "being", or can god just be an act? The act of creation.
It's also important to realize that some ancient texts, written by average, mortal men, may have not always been focused on serving the fundamental truths of reality... in some cases, men have written religious texts as a manner to create a body of control over other beings. A power structure between individuals and the greater knowledge.
